APC and Accord Party Clash Over Owode-Ede Violence

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and Accord Party have engaged in a public dispute over violent incidents in Owode-Ede, Osun State. APC has urged security agencies to investigate the violence, claiming that members of the Accord Party have been attacking APC supporters and damaging their vehicles.

Kola Olabisi, the APC's Director of Media, stated that the area has become a hotspot for political thuggery, with APC members being harassed. In response, Accord Party, led by Pastor Victor Akand, rejected these allegations, accusing APC of politicizing security issues and attempting to blame others for the violence.

Accord has called for a thorough and impartial investigation by the Nigeria Police Force to identify those involved, regardless of political affiliation. The situation has escalated as both parties prepare for the upcoming governorship election in Osun State, emphasizing the need for peace and security in the region.
