APC Triumphs at Aregbesola's Polling Unit in Osun

In the ongoing Osun governorship election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) recorded a decisive victory at the polling unit of former Governor Rauf Aregbesola in Ilesa. APC candidate Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji secured 256 votes, significantly outpacing incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party, who received 43 votes.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate, Najeem Salaam, finished third with 13 votes. The APC's margin of victory over Adeleke was 213 votes, and the combined total of votes for the Accord and ADC was 56.

This result is notable given Aregbesola's political influence in Osun State, where he served as governor from 2010 to 2018. His presence at the polling unit attracted considerable attention from voters and observers.

While the APC's strong performance at this location is significant, the overall election outcome will depend on results from all polling units across Osun State, which will be collated by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
