APC Analyzes Osun Election Results, Plans Legal Action

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State announced that its leadership is currently studying the results of the governorship election held on Saturday. In a statement by APC Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi, the party indicated it would explore all constitutional avenues to determine its next steps.

The APC emphasized that the electoral process includes various stages, from voter registration to potential legal challenges, as outlined in the Electoral Act 2026. The party praised its members for their loyalty and urged them to remain calm amid the current political climate.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Adeleke the winner of the election with 511,067 votes, defeating Bola Oyebamiji of the APC, who received 444,815 votes. The total valid votes cast were 985,079, with 20,721 rejected votes, totaling 1,005,800 votes cast.

The APC also called on the Nigeria Police Force to protect its members from alleged harassment by the ruling party.
