The Accord Party has demanded the immediate removal of Osun State Police Commissioner Ibrahim Gotan, citing persistent violence against its members and a failure to hold perpetrators accountable. The party's statement, signed by its National Public Secretary Joseph Omorogb, highlights the killing of 14-year-old Ezekiel Olapad on June 21, 2026, in Ilobu, where political thugs associated with the APC shot sporadically.

The Accord Party accuses the police of inaction, noting that no arrests have been made despite numerous attacks on its members and properties, including the destruction of campaign billboards.
