Adesuyi Urges Security to Tackle Political Violence in Osun

Olufemi Adesuyi, the governorship candidate for the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in Osun State, called on security agencies to intensify efforts to prevent political violence as the state approaches the August 15 governorship election. In a statement issued in Osogbo on Wednesday, Adesuyi expressed concern over the recent increase in violent incidents across the state and urged law enforcement authorities to act decisively against perpetrators of violence.

He specifically called on the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies operating in Osun to proactively maintain law and order during the electoral period. Adesuyi warned that the growing trend of politically linked violence, including killings, poses a significant threat to public safety and the credibility of the upcoming elections.

He appealed to politicians across party lines to conduct their campaigns peacefully and prioritize the interests of Osun State over partisan considerations, emphasizing that political differences should not lead to hostility among residents.
