APC Plans Strategy to Reclaim Osun State in 2026

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has revealed its strategy to defeat incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming 2026 governorship election in Osun State. The APC's national secretary emphasized the need for a data-driven approach to secure victory, acknowledging the competitive nature of the upcoming polls.

The party plans to mobilize its structure across the state, including federal constituencies and senatorial districts, to enhance grassroots presence. Concerns have been raised regarding the PDP's internal crises, which may limit its grassroots effectiveness.

The APC anticipates a highly competitive election, with three main parties expected to vie for power, including the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The APC's strategy aims to reclaim Osun State, which it lost to Adeleke in the 2022 elections against former Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
