Adeleke Warns APC Against Federal Influence in Elections

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has issued a warning to the All Progressives Congress (APC) regarding the potential use of federal power to manipulate the forthcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15. Speaking at a meeting in Osogbo, Adeleke criticized the APC for allegedly threatening to deploy federal resources to intimidate voters.

He urged residents to remain vigilant and actively participate in the electoral process, emphasizing that the outcome should reflect the people's choice. Adeleke accused the APC of dragging President Bola Tinubu's name into anti-democratic rhetoric and asserted that the federal government should focus on national development rather than interfering in state elections.

He called for grassroots mobilization to protect votes and ensure a fair election. Meanwhile, APC governorship candidate Bola Oyebamiji stated that the party would not rely on federal influence for electoral success, emphasizing consultations with traditional rulers and community members across the state.
