Adeleke Calls for Unity Among Osun Political Leaders

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has urged political leaders in the state to collaborate for progress following the 2026 governorship election. His appeal came in response to a peace initiative from Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, after his visit to President Bola Tinubu in Abuja.

In a statement from his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke emphasized the need for peace and stability in Osun after a politically charged election period. He stated that all political parties should exercise restraint to avoid undermining peace.

Adeleke reiterated his commitment to non-violence in politics and expressed his willingness to work with Oyebamiji and former governor Adegboyega Oyetola, highlighting that all leaders are vital to the state's development. He concluded by stating that the focus should now be on delivering democratic dividends and good governance to the people of Osun State.
