Fadahunsi Clarifies 'Kill Accord' Remark Ahead of Election

Senator Francis Fadahunsi, representing Osun East Senatorial District, clarified his controversial "Kill Accord" remark, asserting it was intended to mean defeating the Accord Party with votes rather than inciting violence against its members. This clarification followed the circulation of a video where he appeared to urge All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters to confront members of the Accord Party in Ilesa.

In a statement from his media office in Osun State, Fadahunsi emphasized that his comments were metaphorical and aimed at encouraging lawful and peaceful electoral participation in the upcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026. He reiterated his commitment to democratic values and urged all political actors to conduct themselves peacefully, appealing to security agencies to ensure a safe voting environment.
