Tinubu Supports Oyebamiji for Osun Governorship Election

Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu's support for Bola Oyebamiji, the party's candidate for the governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026. Speaking in Obokun Local Government Area, Oyintiloye dismissed reports suggesting that President Tinubu and former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola had abandoned Oyebamiji as false and a product of desperate opposition efforts to create divisions within the APC.

He emphasized that both Tinubu and Oyetola remain committed to the party's success and are closely monitoring the campaign. Oyintiloye urged APC members to focus on grassroots mobilization and to reject any form of violence or intimidation that could undermine the electoral process.

He called for a campaign based on credible ideas and solutions, encouraging voters to exercise their rights freely in a peaceful atmosphere. Oyintiloye expressed confidence that the APC would reclaim power in Osun State in the upcoming election.
