Osun Imam Arrested as Worshippers Beat Man to Death Outside Mosque

In Osun State, the police arrested four individuals, including an imam named Najeem Ham, following an incident where worshippers beat a man to death outside the Central Mosque in Ogo Oluwa. The man, identified as Ham, allegedly attempted to attack Imam Ummu Hanni Adigun during morning prayers.

Witnesses reported that Ham tried to hit the imam with a microphone stand but missed, leading to a mob beating him outside the mosque. The man was later rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead.

The police spokesperson confirmed the incident and the subsequent arrests, with investigations ongoing. The incident occurred around 6 am and resulted in the man's death due to injuries sustained during the beating.

The police have deployed a team to maintain law and order in the area.
