Osun Monarchs Endorse Tinubu for 2027 Re-election

On April 30, 2026, traditional rulers from Osun West, led by Oba Abdulroshe Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwo, convened to rally support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election in the upcoming 2027 general elections. The monarchs praised Tinubu for the recent approval of the 90.9 km Osogbo-Iwo-Ibadan road, a project that had been neglected for almost ten years.

The road's approval is seen as a significant achievement, with the Oluwo noting that it would reduce travel time from three hours to less than one hour. The event highlighted the collaboration between Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, who had split the road project into two awards.

The traditional rulers emphasized the importance of Tinubu's re-election, urging their subjects to understand the significance of having a leader like Tinubu in charge of national affairs.
