Osun PDP Lawmakers Demand Vacating of LG Secretariats

Lawmakers from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State have expressed their support for the state working committee led by Sundai Bisi during a closed-door meeting held in Osogbo on Saturday. They reaffirmed their recognition of the existing party leadership structure and distanced themselves from any parallel authority.

The lawmakers, including members of the National Assembly and the State House of Assembly, reviewed recent developments within the party and addressed the ongoing disputes regarding local government administration. They condemned the unlawful occupation of council offices by members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and called on President Bola Tinubu to intervene, urging the immediate vacating of these secretariats to prevent further tension.

The lawmakers emphasized the importance of maintaining party stability and adhering to constitutional processes, appealing to the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to ensure neutrality and allow local government operations to resume normally.
