Osun Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi Declares Re-Election Bid

On Thursday, Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi officially declared his intent to contest for re-election to the Osun Central senatorial seat in 2027. Fadeyi, who was first elected to the upper chamber on the platform of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023, defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He purchased a nomination form for N20 million at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, facilitated by his political associates, including Desmond Adekanola. Akin Titiloy, a former secretary of the Osun PDP, described the gesture as a reflection of Fadeyi's performance and the widespread support he enjoys.

Fadeyi's supporters expressed optimism about his re-election, highlighting his commitment to infrastructure development and improving the lives of constituents across the Osun Central senatorial district. The senator has also been involved in various projects, including the completion of the Araromi Rear Afolahan Road in Ila Orangun, aimed at enhancing connectivity and economic growth in the region.
