Fadahunsi Wins Osun East APC Ticket; Fadeyi Loses

In the recent All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries held in Osun State, incumbent Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi lost his bid for re-election for the Osun Central senatorial seat to Adekunle Adegoke, who secured 26,655 votes compared to Fadeyi's 13,138 votes. In the Osun East senatorial race, Franci Fadahunsi emerged victorious, obtaining 23,593 votes, defeating Isreal Famurewa and Thomas Ogungbangb, who received 472 and 806 votes, respectively.

The primaries were overseen by Mr. Bayo Ayo, the chairman of the Osun APC primary election committee.

The APC also congratulated all candidates and aspirants for their participation, urging them to maintain peace and support the party's overall interests. The results reflect a significant shift in the political landscape as the party prepares for the upcoming elections in 2027.
