Osun Senator Fadeyi Announces New Access Road for Healthcare

On Wednesday, Olubiyi Fadeyi, the Senator representing Osun Central and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment, announced the approval for the construction of a five-kilometer access road in his constituency. This project, disclosed in a statement by his special adviser on digital media, Adekanola Desmond, is expected to significantly enhance healthcare access and rural connectivity across the district.

The road will lead to the Federal University of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital, serving residents from Osun and neighboring states, who have long struggled with inadequate road access to healthcare facilities. The project includes a four-kilometer road linking various districts within Osun Central, facilitating vital connections for farmers and traders.

Fadeyi emphasized that this major infrastructural intervention aims to reverse years of neglect in the area, directly impacting healthcare access and economic activities. An official flag-off ceremony is scheduled for later in March, with preliminary site clearing already commenced.
