Otti Urges Unity Among South-East Governors for Progress

Abia State Governor Otti countered claims of disunity among South-East governors, asserting that differing governance priorities should not be mistaken for division. During a meeting with the South-East Traditional Ruler Council, he addressed concerns regarding perceived cracks in the region's political leadership.

Otti highlighted that each state's unique socio-economic realities shape their administrative policies and decisions. He emphasized the importance of collaboration among leaders, even when pursuing different developmental strategies in areas such as infrastructure, healthcare, and education.

Otti called for stronger cooperation between the South-East and South-South regions, stressing that justice should guide governance. He pointed out the merit-based appointments in his administration, including the selection of non-indigenes for head service positions, showcasing a commitment to inclusivity.

The governor urged traditional rulers to play a stabilizing role in their communities to foster unity and address enduring challenges beyond political cycles.
