Abia State Governor Otti has directed the unsealing of the office of Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon.

Benjamin Kalu, in Umuahia. The move, as explained by the Governor's Chief Press Secretary, is not politically driven but aims to address property default issues related to statutory obligations.

The unsealed properties include those belonging to the late Sam Mbakw's family and a radio station. This action is part of a broader effort to enforce ground rent owed since 1982 and leases expiring in 2025.
