NSA Ribadu Praises Kaduna's Armed Forest Guards Training

Malam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser, emphasized the effective partnership between the Federal Government and Kaduna State, led by Governor Uba Sani, in combating insecurity. Speaking at the graduation of the first batch of Armed Forest Guards, represented by Malam Sani Sani, Director of Internal Security at the Office of the National Security Adviser, Ribadu highlighted that the training conducted in Kaduna State is currently the best nationwide.

He mentioned that over 1,000 Forest Guards received extensive training in various areas, including weapons handling and community cooperation, to serve as first responders against threats before the arrival of security agencies. The initiative was launched by President Bola Tinubu on May 24, 2025, aimed at training locals to secure ungoverned spaces and protect biodiversity.

Governor Uba Sani expressed pride in the training's success and requested an additional 1,000 Forest Guards, noting significant improvements in security since taking office in 2023.
