Tinubu Congratulates Election Winners in FCT, Kano, Rivers

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu congratulated the winners of the elections held on Saturday in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Kano, and Rivers states. The elections were conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) across six area councils in the FCT and various constituencies in Kano and Rivers.

Tinubu emphasized the importance of the winners serving the people with humility and dedication, acknowledging the trust placed in them by the electorate. He praised Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, for his achievements in the region, which he noted had yielded political dividends and contributed to governance progress.

Tinubu also commended INEC and security agencies for their roles in ensuring a peaceful and successful electoral process, highlighting the courage and discipline displayed during the elections. He affirmed that the successful conduct of these elections would further strengthen democratic culture and institutions in Nigeria, calling on INEC to continue improving its efforts in delivering exemplary electoral processes.
