Nigerian Shiites Protest Alleged Assassination of Khamenei

Members of the Islam Movement of Nigeria (IMN), led by Ibrahim El Zakzaky, staged a protest in Niger State following reports of the alleged assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. The protest was triggered by circulating news on social media regarding Khamenei's death, which the group described as an act of global injustice and imperial aggression.

During the demonstration, IMN members chanted slogans expressing solidarity with the Iranian people and waved Iranian flags, alongside placards that bore messages such as "Stand with Iran" and anti-U.S. and anti-Israel sentiments. The group emphasized their commitment to resist Western interference in Middle Eastern affairs and expressed deep sorrow over the reported martyrdom of the Iranian leader.
