NHIA Reports Over 20 Million Nigerians Enrolled in Health Insurance Scheme

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has revealed that over 20 million Nigerians are now enrolled in the health insurance scheme across the country. The Acting Zonal Coordinator for the North Central Zone, Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi, highlighted the NHIA's efforts to increase enrollment and improve healthcare delivery in Nigeria.

The NHIA's current reforms are focused on achieving Universal Health Coverage by 2030, with plans to enroll a total of 44 million people. Abdullahi also mentioned the authority's commitment to enhancing service quality and efficiency through increased tariffs and accreditation standards despite existing challenges.
