Over 250 Golfers Compete at Ebaretonbofa Invitational

The Stephen Ebaretonbofa Invitational, taking place at Benin Golf Club in Edo State from March 23 to March 28, has attracted over 250 golfers from across Nigeria. This week-long championship celebrates the 50th birthday of Stephen Ebaretonbofa, the captain of the Benin Golf Club.

The tournament commenced with a special event for female golfers, highlighting the growing participation of women in sports. The competition features a mix of elite professional and amateur players, with activities designed to engage participants socially.

The tournament's competitive phase will run from Wednesday to Thursday, showcasing top golfers from various clubs, including Ikoyi Golf Club, Lakow Lake Golf Club, and others. The event will culminate on Saturday with a championship round featuring men's handicap categories 1-12 and women's handicap categories 1-28, followed by a prize presentation ceremony at BCG Pavilion.
