Dubai's GDRFA Launches New Entry Visa for Foreigners

The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA Dubai) announced a new entry visa requirement for foreigners from select countries, allowing those residing outside their home countries to apply. This initiative is part of the GDRFA's first-half performance report for 2026.
The special entry visa offers two stay options: 14 days, extendable for another 14 days, or 60 days. Applications are processed digitally.
In the first six months of 2026, over 73,000 of these visas were issued, indicating their popularity. Additionally, the GDRFA issued 29,456 visas for visiting relatives or friends, which permit stays of 30, 60, or 90 days, with options for single or multiple entries and extensions up to 120 days.
Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the GDRFA Dubai, stated that these results demonstrate the ongoing development of the entry permits and residency system, enhancing Dubai's competitiveness as a global living, working, and investing destination.
