Oyebamiji Promises Economic Revival for Osun State

Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Osun State, committed to reviving significant economic assets such as the Dagbolu Dry Port, Osun-Osogbo Grove, Oba Hills National Park, and Ido-Osun Airport. This pledge was made during a courtesy visit from the Coalition of Maritime Journalists of Nigeria in Osogbo, facilitated by the Waterfront Boat Owners and Transporters Association of Nigeria.

Oyebamiji, a former Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), introduced his Osun Prosperity Agenda, aimed at economic transformation and sustainable development. He emphasized that revitalizing the Dagbolu Dry Port and Osun Free Trade Zone would enhance trade facilitation and position Osun as a competitive industrial hub.

Oyebamiji also promised targeted social intervention programs for poverty alleviation, improved workers' welfare, and initiatives to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). His administration plans to modernize educational infrastructure and strengthen the Osun State Investment Promotion Agency to attract investors.
