Osun Gubernatorial Election: Oyebamiji's PROSPER Agenda

The Osun gubernatorial election is imminent, with less than three days remaining. The contest features Gboyega Oyetola, former Governor and APC candidate, and Ademola Adeleke, the current Governor seeking re-election under the Accord Party after leaving the PDP.

Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, the APC candidate and former Commissioner for Finance, has built his campaign around a seven-point development plan known as the PROSPER Agenda. The election will hinge on voters' assessments of past governance versus future promises.

Oyetola's administration (2018-2022) emphasized fiscal discipline, reducing the state's debt by approximately ₦97 billion, and improving budget implementation. His government facilitated over ₦6.5 billion in funding for over 31,000 MSMEs and constructed or rehabilitated over 500 kilometers of roads.

Key projects included the Olaiya Flyover and significant investments in education and healthcare, such as establishing the University of Ilesa and recruiting 2,500 teachers.
