Oyebanji Sacks 19 Commissioners In Major Cabinet Reshuffle

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has carried out a major cabinet reshuffle by sacking 19 commissioners in his State Executive Council. The dissolution was announced in a statement signed by the Secretary of the State Government, Professor Habibat Adubiaro, late Sunday night.

The affected officials, including Commissioners and Special Advisers, were directed to hand over to the Permanent Secretary or senior civil servant in their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies. The Governor expressed gratitude to the outgoing members of the Executive Council and wished them success in their future endeavors.

Notably, the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice were excluded from the dissolution. Certain Directors General will retain their positions, including the Director General of the Office of Transformation Service Delivery and the Director General of the Bureau of Public Procurement.
