Oyebanji Urges Ekiti Leaders to Promote Peace Ahead of Elections

Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State addressed community leaders during a meeting in Ikogosi, urging them to shun violence and inflammatory language as the state prepares for the governorship election scheduled for June 20, 2026. He stressed the need for calm and responsible conduct among political actors and youth, highlighting that Ekiti has a reputation for orderly electoral conduct.

Oyebanji encouraged community leaders to play an active role in promoting peace and stability, urging them to engage youth positively and discourage any form of violent or provocative behavior. He emphasized that those seeking political office should not bring pain to the community and called for discussions that foster peace.

Additionally, Oyebanji assured that work on necessary road projects would commence soon, expressing appreciation for the support from the Alara Council and the entire Aramoko community. Princess Sherifat Adeyemi, the regent of Aramoko, commended the governor for his developmental strides and solicited further support for ongoing and future projects in the community.
