Oyo Woman Appeals to Governor for Kidnapped Family

A distraught woman has made an emotional appeal to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, urging him to intensify efforts to secure the release of her daughter-in-law and four grandchildren, who were abducted in Oriir Local Government Area. This plea occurred during the governor's visit to the community on Saturday.

The victims, including a teacher and her pupils, were reportedly taken when armed men invaded a school in the Esiel Yawota area. The woman's husband, Rachael Alamu, who is the principal of the Community High School in Esiel, expressed gratitude for the government's efforts so far but urged the governor not to relent until all captives are freed.

He emphasized the need for urgent action, stating that the community is disheartened by the situation. The Oyo State Government's security agencies have not provided further details on the ongoing rescue operations.
