Adelabu Declares Gubernatorial Intent for Oyo 2027

Adebayo Adelabu, a former Minister of Power and current gubernatorial aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, formally declared his intent to contest the 2027 governorship elections during a meeting with the APC executive at the party's state secretariat in Ibadan. Adelabu stated that the APC cannot afford to remain in opposition beyond the 2027 general elections, emphasizing that the outcome will determine the party's relevance in the state.

He highlighted that the mission to govern should transcend personal interests and focus on restoring the party's soul. Adelabu warned against the imposition of consensus candidates without proper consultation with party executives and stakeholders, asserting that such actions could undermine the party's unity and effectiveness.

Chief Mose Alak Adeyemo, the state APC chairman, praised Adelabu's loyalty and dedication to the party, reaffirming the importance of collective efforts to strengthen the APC in Oyo State.
