Oyo Bye-Election: APC Candidate Loses Polling Unit as ADC Alleges Vote-buying

In the Oyo Bye-Election, the APC candidate for the Saturday August 16 North Federal Constituency, Adewale Olatunji, lost his polling unit to the PDP candidate Fola Oyekunle, who gathered a total of 17 votes. Olatunji received 9 votes, leaving him with 6 votes, while the remaining two votes went to the LP candidate.

Despite this, sorting of votes continued in Ibadan North Federal Constituency, with reports of a peaceful conduct of the election. Former PDP member of the House of Representatives, Hon Abiodun Awoleye, expressed satisfaction with the peaceful process and high voter turnout in his ward.

However, the ADC candidate, Femi, raised alarm over alleged vote-buying at a polling unit in Ward 11, University of Ibadan. The APC has requested a rerun election in Kano state.
