Governor Makinde Elevates Oyo Traditional Rulers

On Friday, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State presented the staff of office to newly elevated traditional rulers, including High Chief Baal of Oyo Town, during a ceremony that highlighted the importance of traditional institutions. The governor, represented by Barrister Bayo Lawal, congratulated the newly crowned monarchs and reaffirmed the significance of traditional rulers as custodians of culture and promoters of unity and progress.

Governor Makinde assured his administration's commitment to strengthening traditional institutions to promote peace and grassroots development. He urged the monarchs to uphold integrity and serve their people fairly, emphasizing the need for character, peace, and inclusivity in supporting government programs aimed at improving citizen welfare.

The newly elevated traditional rulers included Oba David Oyediran, Oba Mukaila Alajagba, Oba Samuel Odurind, and several others from various regions within Oyo State.
