Oyo State Governor Engages Amotekun for University Campus Security

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has enlisted the services of the Western Nigeria Security Network (Amotekun) to safeguard the staff and students of Abiola Ajimobi Technical University in Ibadan. This move was announced during the university's convocation ceremony, where Makinde highlighted the state government's commitment to addressing security challenges in educational institutions.

The security measures include the establishment of an Amotekun base at the university's entrance, the erection of perimeter fencing, and routine patrols. Makinde reiterated the government's dedication to enhancing infrastructure and ensuring a safe learning environment.
