APM's Adekanmbi Promises Inclusivity for Oyo Muslims

Bimbo Adekanmbi, the governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Oyo State, promised to uphold the existing relationship between the state government and the Muslim community if elected in the 2027 governorship election. This pledge was made during the Hijrah 1448/2026 Luncheon for the Muslim community, where he was accompanied by his running mate, Engr.

Muftau Open Salawu. Adekanmbi stated that his administration would build on the positive relationship established by Governor Seyi Makinde with the Muslim community, emphasizing that political transitions should not disrupt government-religious community relations.

He acknowledged the contributions of the Muslim community to Oyo's peace and development and praised Governor Makinde for his consistent engagement with them. Adekanmbi assured that his administration would prioritize an inclusive governance structure, allowing religious and social groups to participate in policymaking.

He urged the Muslim community to continue their support for the government to foster peace and development in Oyo State.
