Adekanmbi Pledges Loyalty to Oyo People, Not Makinde

Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, the 2027 governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Oyo State, declared that he would not be a political stooge to Governor Seyi Makinde if elected, asserting his loyalty would be to the people of Oyo State. During an appearance on Arise Television's Morning Show, Adekanmbi discussed his governorship ambitions, public service experience, and plans for the state.

He emphasized that his decision to run was based on competence and a commitment to prioritize residents' interests. Adekanmbi rejected suggestions that his relationship with Makinde could lead to dependency, stating he would make independent decisions.

He noted that Makinde encouraged him to build personal political relationships with residents. Adekanmbi also highlighted his extensive experience working with previous governors of Oyo State, including the late Abiola Ajimobi, from whom he learned valuable lessons.

He expressed a commitment to serving the over 7.5 million people of Oyo State.
