Oyo NDC Candidate Criticizes Lokoja Court Judgment

Dr. Kunle Adegbit, a candidate representing the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Oyo State, criticized a recent judgment from the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja, Kogi State, which set aside an earlier ruling concerning the party. Adegbit described the court's decision as a danger to the development of Nigeria's multi-party democracy and warned that such trends could undermine the nation's democratic growth.

He emphasized that the NDC operates in compliance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and adheres to the guidelines set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Adegbit maintained that no judicial pronouncement should discourage party members from pursuing democratic aspirations, asserting that Nigerians deserve a vibrant political environment with fair competition among registered parties.

He expressed confidence in the judiciary's process and assured party members of the NDC's commitment to challenge the ruling through appropriate legal channels, urging them to remain calm and united.
