Oyo PDP Urges Police to Prosecute Ajimobi's Wife Over War Threats Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Oyo State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has demanded the police to prosecute Florence Ajimobi, wife of former Governor of Oyo State, for making war threats in a viral video ahead of the 2027 general elections. Ajimobi, who was recently appointed as an ambassador by President Bola Tinubu, allegedly boasted about supporting the federal government to dislodge the PDP-led government in the state.

The PDP criticized her remarks, calling them inflammatory and unbecoming of a diplomat, especially during a time of national security challenges. The party highlighted the achievements of Governor Seyi Makinde's administration in Oyo State and accused the APC of promoting anti-people policies.

In response, Ajimobi disowned the video, claiming it was digitally manipulated. The PDP urged residents to remain calm and support the current administration for continued development and democratic dividends.
