Oyo Police Boost Security in Ikoyi Ile Amid Bandit Threat

The Oyo State Police Command has heightened security measures in Ikoyi Ile, Oriire Local Government Area, due to a potential bandit attack. This action follows the discovery of a handwritten note in Yoruba and English languages dropped in the community, indicating a planned assault by suspected bandits.

Five National Park Service officers were reportedly killed in a recent attack in Oloka community, prompting the police to increase patrols, conduct stop-and-search operations, and deploy surveillance across the area. The State Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna, has directed intelligence units to investigate the threat and ensure the safety of residents.
