Oyo State Unveils Week-long Activities for 50th Anniversary Celebration

Oyo State has announced a week-long program to mark its 50th anniversary, encompassing religious, cultural, intellectual, and social engagements. The activities aim to showcase the state's progress and chart a course for its future, aligning with Governor Seyi Makinde's vision for sustainable growth.

The celebrations include public lectures, cultural events, health outreach, film shows, symposiums, religious services, sports competitions, and women empowerment programs. The anniversary committee chairman, Saheed Akinade-Fijabi, highlighted the inclusivity of the events to ensure broad societal participation in commemorating the state's creation on February 3, 1976.
