Pa Moses Omwirhiren: A Legacy of Resilience and Service

Pa Moses Omwirhiren passed away on June 23, 2006, after a life characterized by resilience and service. Born into a modest household in Okunfuoma Village, Delta State, he was the third son of Madam Bianito Omwirhiren.

Despite lacking privileges, he demonstrated a strong determination to pursue education, rejecting the conventional path to attend a modern school. His journey included overcoming financial hardships, particularly when his family faced legal disputes that drained resources.

In 1962, he secured admission to the School of Hygiene at the University College Hospital in Ibadan, which marked a pivotal moment in his life. He became a qualified healthcare worker, serving his community with dedication.

His life story is a testament to perseverance and the impact of education, as he navigated challenges without succumbing to despair, ultimately earning admiration in his community for his contributions.
