Pad Me A Girl Foundation Celebrates 1st Anniversary

The Pad Me A Girl Foundation marked its first anniversary on April 3, 2025, with a humanitarian outreach event at the Area 1 Internally Displaced Persons Camp in Durumi, Abuja. The foundation disclosed that it has reached 10,000 girls and women with menstrual health support over the past year.

This outreach is part of the foundation's commitment to promoting menstrual hygiene and restoring dignity while empowering vulnerable girls and women. The event, coordinated by Mr.

Bless Amo and Mr. Salom Alamoh, involved volunteers distributing sanitary pads, exercise books, writing materials, and food items, along with providing menstrual hygiene education.

The foundation aims to break the stigma surrounding menstruation and has implemented similar interventions across Abuja, Ogun, Benue, and Nasarawa states. Alamoh emphasized the critical need for access to menstrual hygiene products, while Theresa Mose, the foundation's leader, expressed gratitude to volunteers and partners for their support and outlined plans to expand programs nationwide.
