Gunman Opens Fire at White House Correspondents' Dinner

During the White House Correspondents' Dinner on a Saturday night, a gunman opened fire outside the Washington Hilton, where the event was taking place. The dinner was attended by President Donald Trump and multiple senior U.S. leaders.

Secret Service agents quickly responded, ensuring the safety of Trump and other guests, who dove under tables as the scene unfolded. The suspect, identified as Cole Toma Allen, 31, from Torrance, California, was described by sources as a "sick person." Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and Trump remained unharmed in his tuxedo.

Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser stated there was no indication of anyone else being involved in the incident. Video footage showed the suspect running past security barricades as Secret Service agents rushed towards the scene.

The incident occurred two hours after the event began, and there was no immediate threat to the public.
