Ogun Family Seeks Help as Teenager Goes Missing in 2026

Imole Ilesanmi, a teenager from the Agbado area of Ogun State, was reported missing on September 20, 2026, after she left her family home around 3 PM. Her father stated that she was asked to prepare food before planning to visit a cleric in the Popóshóla area.

After her disappearance, the family attempted to contact her phone, which rang until Monday morning without an answer. They reported the incident to the Agbado Police Station, where the cleric, identified as Alfa, was initially arrested but later released.

Alfa claimed he did not see Imole that day and stated she had mentioned going to Popóshóla, not his residence. He was detained for one day, with a police officer present at his home during that time.

Imole's sister, Ayomide, expressed concern as the family had not been able to locate her after several days, despite reports from neighbors who claimed to have seen her walking restlessly in the area.
