Family of abducted Oyo baby Faaiz seeks urgent help

On September 16, a six-month-old baby named Faaiz was allegedly abducted from his mother, Mrs Asimau Olasunkanmi's room in their three-bedroom apartment located at Erunmu in the Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State. The incident occurred in the early hours when Olasunkanmi discovered her baby missing while preparing to breastfeed him.
She found that the net covering the window had been severed, indicating that the abductors had entered through there. The family reported the incident to the Ogungbade Police Station, which was later transferred to the Anti-Kidnapping Squad in Dugbe, Ibadan.
The father, Taiwo Isiak, expressed concern over the lack of updates from the police, stating that it had been 40 days since the abduction without significant progress. A family friend, Akinyode Waliyulah, confirmed that the matter was reported to other security agencies, noting that the window had no burglary-proof protection.
