Retired Police Superintendent Missing in Ogun State

Emmanuel Ahmed, a retired Superintendent of Police, has been reported missing since July 23, 2026, after leaving his home in Abeokuta, Ogun State. He was contacted by Muhammed Saleh, a Fulani man, to discuss the sale of two cows at Alamutu Market.

Ahmed informed his wife about the meeting and departed on his motorcycle. Witnesses, including police officers at a checkpoint in Rounder, confirmed seeing him with Saleh on the motorcycle, but he did not return home that night.

His son, Emmanuel Nehemiah, reported the disappearance to the police, who initially handled the case before transferring it to the State Criminal Investigation Department and the anti-kidnapping unit at Eleweran. Attempts to trace Saleh's movements and contact him have been unsuccessful, as both his and Ahmed's phone numbers are switched off.

The family is concerned for Ahmed's health, as he is hypertensive, and is seeking help from higher authorities to locate him.
