PAP Administrator Otuaro Sends 31 Scholars to UK for Studies

On September 18, Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), announced the departure of 31 scholarship beneficiaries to the United Kingdom for postgraduate studies. Otuaro emphasized the importance of academic excellence and the need for the scholars to appreciate the support from President Bola Tinubu's administration.

This group follows a previous batch of 54 scholars who left the country the week before. The 31 scholars, who participated in a pre-departure briefing in August, will study various fields including forensic audit, construction engineering management, data science analytics, law, software engineering, oil and gas engineering, cyber security, global public health, and fintech analytics.

Otuaro has facilitated a total of 243 overseas postgraduate scholarships this year and expressed optimism that the investment in education would benefit the Niger Delta and Nigeria in the future. He acknowledged President Tinubu's support for PAP and commended National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu for his contributions.
