54 PAP Scholarship Beneficiaries Depart Nigeria for UK

On September 13, 2023, fifty-four beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) departed Nigeria for the United Kingdom to commence their post-graduate studies at various universities. The group took off from Abuja and arrived in London on the same day.

These students are part of a larger cohort of 150 beneficiaries who underwent pre-departure orientation in August, organized by PAP Administrator Dr. Dennis Otuaro. This year, Otuaro has facilitated a total of 243 offshore post-graduate scholarships.

The scholars will focus on diverse fields such as software engineering, cyber security, global public health, oil and gas engineering, law, fintech analytics, construction engineering management, forensic audit, and data science analytics. Dr. Otuaro urged the students to take their studies seriously, act as good ambassadors for Nigeria and the Niger Delta, and return home after their programs to contribute to their communities and nation-building.

He emphasized the importance of education for the socio-economic advancement and sustainable peace of the Niger Delta region.
