CAF Women's Football Workshop Kicks Off in Abuja

The CAF women's football administrators' workshop is being held in Abuja, Nigeria, from April 26 to 28, 2023. The event commenced with participants arriving in Nigeria's federal capital on Friday, April 26.

The workshop is hosted at the Seren Hotel Suite and will be officially opened on Sunday, April 28, by Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, the President of the Nigeria Football Federation. He will declare the workshop open alongside Philipp Tchere, the Executive Director of WAFU B, and Goshim Meskerem, the Head of Women's Football at CAF.

Other notable attendees include Amina Amani, the President of WAFU B Women’s Football Commission, and Preciou Dede, a former Nigerian goalkeeper, who will serve as a facilitator along with CAF instructors Jule McGeever and Thuba Sibanda. The workshop aims to develop women's football across seven countries in the WAFU B region, which includes Nigeria, Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Niger Republic, Togo, and Benin Republic.
