Former Jigawa State Governor, Lamido, has threatened to take the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to court if he does not receive the nomination form for the party chairmanship position. This comes as a result of internal party conflicts, with Lamido criticizing the lack of transparency and alleged manipulation in the selection process.

The dispute arose after the party adopted Kabiru Tanimu Turaki as the consensus candidate for the top position at the upcoming national convention. Despite facing resistance, Lamido remains adamant about resolving the party's internal issues to secure victory in future elections.
