INEC Receives Details from 8 Pre-Qualified Associations for Party Registration

Eight out of the fourteen pre-qualified associations have shown interest in registering political parties in Nigeria by completing the required document uploads on the dedicated portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The INEC Chairman, Sam Olumekun, disclosed that the next step involves a detailed assessment and verification of the information and documents submitted by the associations.

This move aligns with the commitment of INEC to inclusivity and transparency in deepening Nigeria's democratic culture. The associations include ADA, CDA, AAP, DLA, GFP, NDP, and PFP.
